- ENTRIES: The aged event will consist of a 5/6 year old (Classic/Challenge) Open, Non Pro and Amateur; a 4 year old (Derby) Open, Non Pro and Amateur; and a 3 year old (Futurity) Open and Non Pro.
- OPEN & NON PRO DIVISIONS: The open and non pro divisions will consist of two go rounds and a finals. Sixty
(60%) percent will advance to the 2nd go. Zeros and 180 will not advance to the 2nd go. A minimum of 20% with a
maximum of 20 horses plus ties will advance to the finals. All finalists will receive a check. There will be an
advancement fee to the finals. A rider may rider unlimited number of horses.
- AMATEUR DIVISIONS: The Amateur divisions will consist of one go round and a finals. There must be a
minimum of 20 entries in each division to have a finals. Twenty five (25%) percent of the entries will advance to
the finals. All finalists will receive a check. There will be an advancement fee to the finals. A rider may rider
unlimited number of horses.
- GELDING & $250,000 LTD NON PRO: The Gelding is a class within the open and non pro divisions. A
contestant must be entered in any regular open or non pro division. Payout is to the farthest advancing. It will
pay one place for every five entries. There is not a separate finals. The $250,000 Ltd Non Pro is a class within
the Non Pro divisions. A contestant must be entered in any regular non pro division. It is limited to riders who
have won less than $250,000. Payout is to the farthest advancing. It will pay one place for every five entries.
There is not a separate finals.
- STALLS: Feed and/or tack stalls are required. To make reservations for stalls, complete the attached stall form.
Stalls are due by September 15. Stalls: $130.
- PAYOUT: The open and non pro divisions of the futurity, derby and classic/challenge will pay top two in each
round. Payout in the opens will be 1st place $1000 and 2nd place $750. Payout in the non pro will be 1st place
$750 and 2nd place $500. Balance of the purse will be paid in the finals. . The amateur classes will pay one
place in the go round. The payout will be $300. The balance of the purse will be paid in the finals.
- ENTRY DEADLINE & PAYMENT SCHEDULE: Entries are due and payable for all divisions postmarked by
September 15. Any entries not postmarked by September 15 will be assessed a $300 late fee for open and non
pro divisions, a $200 late fee for amateur. FAXED ENTRIES AND STALL RESERVATIONS will be accepted.
However, payment must still be received by specified postmarked dates to avoid late fees.
- RETURNED CHECKS: Any checks returned for NSF will be charged a $50 office charge.
- TRANSFERS & REFUNDS: Full amount prior to 9/15. After 9/15 but prior to the draw, veterinary certificate
required. Jackpot portion of entry fees will be refunded. Office and cattle will be retained. After the draw no
refunds will be made. No refund on stalls.
- SHOW MANAGEMENT reserves the right to accept or reject any entry or substitution for any reason. Show
management reserves the right to cancel, transfer or reschedule this event without liability. Any changes or
additions to these rules may be made by show management if deemed necessary. In the event of cancellation,
entry fees paid will be refunded. It is hereby understood by all participants that all liability that may arise to the
SOUTH POINT Futurity is hereby waived.
